About Us
Children's Global Peace Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that empowers children worldwide to transform their challenging emotions and conflicts into healthy self expression and peaceful co-creation. Through experiential games and exercises, multicultural songs, dance, and art, students learn to move beyond prejudice and assumption to realize their potential, their connection to each other, and the global human family. We are building a global network of schools where every child discovers the power of peace and our interconnectedness.
Our Mission is to help children find peace and strength within, harmony with others, and beauty in diversity.
In 2010- 2011 CGPP taught in 13 schools to 1258 children each week in San Miguel de Allende Mexico and in 2 schools to 148 children each week in Kenya Africa.
If we are to reach real peace in the world,
We shall have to begin with the children.
And if they will grow up in their natural innocence,
We won’t have to struggle,
We won’t have to pass fruitless ideal resolution,
But we shall go from love to love and peace to peace.
Until at last all the corners of the world are covered.

Why This Work Is Important
In many communities throughout the world education is primarily focused on academic studies with little to no emphasis on teaching the social, emotional, and critical thinking skills necessary to navigate life events and difficulties. Given the challenges of today’s world, it is imperative that all children are given an opportunity to learn about life from a global citizen viewpoint. Children’s Global Peace Project helps children grow their own inner peace and learn social skills to promote empathy and understanding, greater cultural awareness, and better cooperation. The program is dedicated to empowering schools, teachers, and children to co-create the peace education curriculum that best supports their needs, and to establishing global classroom connections that continue year after year.
